I found this colorful scene, frosted from the cold night, one more in Kawuneechee valley. I like the intimate details and brilliant colors of this scene, set of by the frost.
The Kawuneechee valley on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park contains the headwaters of the Colorado River, the same river the carved the Grand Canyon and that supplies so much of the Southwest. In Rocky Mountain National Park in the fall it's no more than a big stream, but a scenic stream. On this morning I was able to get nice dawn light illuminating the Never Summer Mountains in the background with frost on the tall grasses in the foreground, and mist in the trees.
